1.Who handles refunds
THOTH subscriptions are sold by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments and decides and issues refunds under its Refund Policy and Buyer Terms. Those documents are authoritative; this page is a summary.
2.How to request a refund
- Go to paddle.net, Paddle’s buyer support site, and look up your order using the email address used at checkout or the details on your receipt.
- Follow the instructions there to request a refund or contact Paddle about the transaction. Your Paddle receipt email also contains links to manage the order and reach Paddle support.
- For questions about THOTH itself — your Workspace, plan or access — you can contact us through the Contact page (topic “Billing question”). We can explain how your Workspace is affected, but we do not approve or process refunds for purchases made through Paddle.
Refunds are not automatic. When Paddle approves a refund, it is returned to the original payment method; the time it takes to appear depends on Paddle and your payment provider.
3.Statutory rights
Legally mandatory consumer protections always apply. Paddle’s Refund Policy currently describes, among others:
- a seven-day right of withdrawal for eligible consumers in Brazil;
- a fourteen-day right of withdrawal for eligible consumers in the European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, subject to the conditions that apply;
- other rights provided by the law of the customer’s country.
There is no single refund period that applies to everyone. Eligibility, approval and processing follow Paddle’s policy and the law that applies to you. THOTH does not offer an additional refund guarantee beyond these.
4.Effect on access
A refund does not automatically cancel your subscription or delete any data.
If Paddle confirms a refund of the payment that covers your current subscription period, and no other valid payment covers that period, the Workspace’s paid access may end. It then follows the access stages described in the Cancellation Policy.
Partial refunds, credits and refunds of earlier billing periods do not, by themselves, end paid access for the current period.
5.Payment disputes and chargebacks
We recommend contacting Paddle before opening a dispute with your bank or card issuer, as this is usually the quickest way to resolve a payment problem.
If a payment is disputed, we rely on the payment status and verified information we receive from Paddle:
- Open dispute or chargeback warning — does not, by itself, end access to your Workspace.
- Confirmed chargeback or adjustment — if it removes the payment supporting your current subscription period and no other valid payment covers that period, access may be restricted under the access stages in the Cancellation Policy. A chargeback of an earlier period does not, by itself, affect current access.
- Chargeback reversed in your favour — we review the Workspace’s status so that valid paid access can be restored.
6.Refund vs. cancellation
Cancelling stops your subscription from renewing once the cancellation takes effect. It does not, by itself, return payments already made, and you keep access until the end of the period already paid.
A refund returns money for a payment already made. Cancelling does not waive any right you may have to a refund: if you are eligible under Paddle’s Refund Policy or applicable law, you can still request one as described above. To stop renewal, see the Cancellation Policy.
